Post-accpetance undergrad grades

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'd contact the school anonymously and ask about those grades. Some concern is warranted. However, you're certainly nowhere close to f***ed for sure. The school I was accepted to explicitly requires nothing less than a C. Other than that, good to go.

Why would you do that, you've worked hard to obtain the 3.95 GPA and its now down to the last semester or two? Not sure if that would be a concern for the med school or not, but it might be - I wouldn't take that risk.

Besides, you can graduate with the highest distinction or summa cum laude with a 3.95. Not sure if that's important to you, but most schools print those latin honors on the actual diploma which I think is cool.

there was a recent post pretty similar to this. it varies by school, but they generally don't want to see C's and may kick you out for anything lower than that. back when i was accepted to uva, my stuff said i'd have to explain any post-acceptance C's and my acceptance would automatically be reviewed for any D's. try to rally and avoid as many of those C's as possible.

People don't care about their grades even as a matter of self respect? Where's the work ethic?

I used to have this attitude - and I still do - however as an accepted senior, I can now relate more to the slacker senior year mentality. I've worked my ass off for three years, and now I want to appreciate the remaining time I have with my friends and focus on my ECs more than do classwork. I'm not failing by any means, but the intensity isn't there.

You're most likely in the clear but be careful. You're playing with fire. At other schools, that might be enough justification to give you the boot.
