Hi everyone,
I'm new to SDN but I've been reading many posts about low-gpa and post-bacc programs and it's been really helpful, but I was hoping I could get some advice about my personal situation.

I'm 21 and a senior in college. I'm a biology/psychology double major and although I do well in my psych classes, unfortuanatley they don't count towards my BCPM GPA, which is a 2.32 and my cum. uGPA is 2.954. I made 2 Ds in my biology classes and Cs in all my chemistry courses, so I haven't felt prepared enough to take the MCAT either.

I've been looking at many post-baccs, but most have a 3.0 GPA requirement, so I feel a little stuck; I would like to increase my uGPA before applying to any SMPs as well. Any advice here?

This summer, I'm signing up to take a phlebotomy course, so I can hopefully find a job and gain so clinical experience as well.

I know I'm still young and soon to be fresh out of undergrad so I'm in no rush, I just want to know steps I can take to help me get back on the path to Med school

First off, find out what deficits led you to do so poorly in your coursework. Have you improved at all? Seek out your school's learning or education center for help with study styles, learning and test taking tricks, and time mgt.

You can do a post-bac DIY at a CC or state school to save on tuition $.

The fastest way to do GPA repair is to retake all F/D/C science coursework and use AACOMAS' grade replacement policy, and aim for DO schools.

If you're boning for MD, then acing a post-bac or SMP, and acing MCAT are needed. There are MD schools that believe in reinvention.
