Hey Guys :),
I graduated from UT Knoxville (go VOLS!!) w a degree in Psychology (pre-med) in Dec 2007, basically goofed around/volunteered a bit for a semester and now Im ready to actually focus. My science gpa in undergrad is not as good as it should be and I was wondering if it would be beneficial to try to get into a post bacc for this upcoming winter or just go ahead and take class at the local university. Im planning on taking the MCAT this summer (Late june/july). starting the application process to get in by next aug....
Any suggestions?

it really depends on you and the schools you are looking into. i would consider the following (in order)

(1) cost
(2) cost
(3) flexibility/priority in classes
(4) choice in extracirricular activities
(5) professor reputation (LOR & ease of classes, check ratemyprof)

the difference between formal or informal post-bacc is advising. if you prefer an advisor/committee, then go with formal.
