I'm currently going into my last year of undergraduate studies and was wondering whether I should retake my anatomy course during my last year or take it during a post-bacc program. I already took the anatomy course but did Pass/No Pass and passed but didn't receive a letter grade. However, most dental schools require anatomy so I was wondering whether I should retake it next year where it won't count to my undergraduate GPA (I'm also taking my anatomy lab next semester). If I don't end up taking it, I was planning on applying to a post-bacc program (I want to raise my overall GPA especially in the core classes) and taking it there where it would affect my GPA. In the case that I don't take the anatomy lecture, I will still be taking the lab part of it but I wanted to add a language class that I'm really interested in...Please let me know what you guys think about this. Thanks!

I wouldn't say that most schools require anatomy. You could apply and if u get into a school that requires anatomy for a letter grade, you can retake it during your gap yr

Oh is that true? I thought that anatomy was a required course for most schools...Would it be fine to have it as a P/NP class on my transcript then? Thanks.

As far as I've seen, Anatomy is a recommended course, not a required one, although each school is different.
