hi everyone,
hopefully this will be one of the last questions i'm squeezing in there before i take on my DIY post-bacc. 🙂 thanks in advance for any insight and advice.
i'm planning on doing an informal post bacc and here is a rough outline:
-i've graduated with a molecular biology degree, so lots of science... 3.05 sGPA and 3.04 cGPA. hence, i need to do a gpa enhancing post-bacc.
-all my pre-reqs are done with good grades, with the exception of physics.
-all of my pre-reqs were completed 9-11 years ago. by the time i apply, they'll be 12-14 years. holy crap.
in my post-bacc i will be (taking 2 courses/quarter while working full-time and nagging my kid to do her hw 😀):
-retaking a year of physics
-taking some upper division biochem, developmental, and cell bio courses.
-anatomy and physio and stats (but they're not upper div, but geared for pre-health students)
-one or two more humanities classes (needed for my certificate)
hopefully my post-bacc (~55 units) will help in improving my gpa. does this seem like a decent plan? is there anything missing in your opinion? us DIY post-bacc kids need all the advice we can get since there's no structured pre-med support system at our schools... (well at least at mine). 🙂
this website has proven to be a Godsend!!! your advice is invaluable, and... happy friday to all of you!
