This post-bacc program is offered by a small local private university and is the only official post-bacc program in my State. It's odd though because they don't show up under the AAMA directory for post-bacc programs.

My only viable options are either going through this program or DIY taking the individual required classes at my local state university whose MD program I do hope to get into eventually (they also prefer local residents over non-residents).

I'm not sure how important a particular post-bacc program is, given that I get a great GPA/MCAT?

Edit: I've taken no pre-reqs in undergrad. GPA 3.0. Econ Major. Transitioning from Finance, 25 yrs old.

I would just do the DIY route, especially if it's cheaper/more convenient. No matter what you decide, it's really important you do as well as possible (3.7+) so you can bring up your uGPA and establish a solid upward trend + sGPA.

Does the post bacc program advertise any linkages with medical schools?

Thanks, and no they don't. They do seem to send students towards my state's MD program though, but the list seems a bit dated.

Then it's probably a wash. I'd just go with the cheaper option.
