I just graduated with a Biology Pre-Med degree. I have a 3.35 gpa and a first time mcat score of 18. I am retaking the mcat the end of july and I have been getting 27-30 on average for practice mcat. Should I apply to med schools for the 2014 year while also applying to postbac programs for this fall? and if so than what kind? Thank you

You're going to have to increase your MCAT to about a 22-25 to get into DO post-baccs and probably an MCAT of 28-30 to get into a MD post-bacc. I think it will be quite difficult for you to get into an MD school (directly at least) because increasing your score from an 18 to a 30 will be very difficult/unlikely. A 3.35 with a 30 MCAT is a good applicant to a strong MD post bacc / bridge program. You'll have a better shot at a D.O. But even that is becoming extremely competitive these days.
