Hey guys I have a question. I was originally planning on applying to medical schools this app cycle but my mcat score is preventing me from doing so. I already submitted my primary application to aacomas and multiple schools such as lecom and pcom have already received my app. I'm holding back on my secondary application simply because I feel I do not have the mcat score to get into the schools. So basically I was wondering if it would look bad if I resubmitted my primary essay as my post bac essay for lecom and pcom.....any thoughts?

just wondering... what was your MCAT and GPA? regardless, at this point just wait and reapply super early this coming cycle.

Post Bac programs are for those who have the MCAT score but need to repair their GPA. Retake the MCAT if your GPA is alright and don't pay for a Post Bac program.

My premed advsors gave me this same advice. Most of the these programs won't tell you about this, I mean, the only way to improve your mcat score is to either study by yourself or to take a prep score. I don't usually listetn to my premed advisors, but I think they are finally right on something here.

If you are at all interested in KCOM, then take a look at their MS program. I had a great experience in the research track, and it really prepared me for medical school. I had a good MCAT and a poor GPA, but many of my classmates were in the opposite situation. The 2 year program is rather cheap, and you will finish with a publication/research experience.

If you decide to re-submit your primary essay, you should definitely modify it to fit the post-bacc program. The more effort you put into the process, the better the results will be.
