Are you planning to accept your offer? What are your stats, if you don't mind sharing?
No, I did not accept the offer. Honestly, if you got the interview your stats were probably fine, and from what I was told, they were not the deciding factor for me to receive an offer. I'm sure you will hear something soon. I believe they said the deadline for deposits is January 14th or something like that. I would think that sometime after the deadline would be when most spots open up. Good luck!
Hey everyone. Did anyone that interviewed post December 3rd at UMDNJ receive a response yet (whether acceptance, rejection, or waitlist)? I just want to know if they have given any status to their interviewees post December 3rd. Thanks so much!
you sir are no good to be diverging others away so you can get in... tsktsk👎
"No I'm being completely honest. UMDNJ is obviously good because its cheap and close to this person's house. But even then, the OP said tuition and location were very similar. So in that case, obviously choose the school with the better and more reputable program which is by far Maryland. I'm saying this statement came from a Professor that spoke to us at the Gateway Summer Program at UMDNJ, when he was supposed to be selling UMDNJ to us, those were his exact words. If tuition and location were an issue, I would have said UMDNJ without hesitation."
You clearly did not read the entire post. I said I would have picked UMDNJ without a doubt if tuition and location was an issue. The post said neither of thosewere issues, so why would someone choose UMDNJ over Maryland? I'm telling you a Professor at the summer program at UMDNJ said Maryland is a top school with a brand new facility. I don't get what you're trying to get at, my post was an honest opinion. Besides, that person declining doesn't automatically transfer to me gettting a seat.

in-state re-applicant, rejected today via email, thinking about sending chaviano all 7 acceptances, including 1 from area Ivy
Sorry to hear, but I just thought what you said was funny. On a more serious note, maybe they thought that you are overqualified (look at those acceptances! 👍) that you wouldn't be serious in attending anyway so they just rejected you? It's a possibility.

I already committed to my top choice, as an in-state applicant I feel its a slap in the face

So I need some opinions... I interviewed here on January 3rd as well and thought it went well but I haven't heard anything, no rejection, wishlist or anything. I've since been accepted somewhere else and have to put a 1000 dollar deposit down in less than two weeks but liked umdnj better... would it be unreasonable/rude to email to the Secretary and ask why I stand before I waste the 1000 dollars?
