I graduated college a few years ago and have been doing a lot of soul-searching about if MD is right for me. I explored the NP/PA fields and took courses that fulfill pre-reqs for those programs. However now I am pretty convinced I want to commit to med school again, and will be finishing up pre-reqs. Is it true that taking courses at multiple universities will hurt my application? Since I work full time, it was quite tricky to find courses offered at night at the same university. I was basically mixing and matching with colleges (I live in a large city with many colleges) to find whichever courses fit my work schedule.

My situation is somehow similar to yours, but I try to take classes on my off days and during the week whenever feasible. It is not easy to manage/ joggle between school and work. I do not think you need to worry about it, I would only worry if it is more than 2 institutions. Some schools would look at it as if you were grade shopping, unless you can justify your circumstances logically. Hope this helps.
