Post Graduate Certification

Hi all- looking for a sounding board. I'm looking in to getting in to forensic work (I have some experience but temporally distant) and feel I need to re-competency before doing it in pp. I have an opportunity to attend a post doctoral certificate program at a reputable university based program. Has anyone done this/any thoughts? I work full time now in a different area, so am looking for didactic and supervised experience.

Might be helpful to define what specifically you want to do in forensics. People use that term to encompass a wide variety of activities.
