Post Interview Acceptance Rates?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
US News gives you lots of stats like that.

US News.

I think for most schools is 30-40% of the applicants they interview.

okay, I looked on US news but I'm still not finding it. Where are you guys looking? Post a link if you can

Medschoolready has post-interview acceptance rates for many schools at this link. You just have to click on the school profile that you are interested in.

You have to sign up for USNWR premium access to the med school info -- then check admission stats under each school of interest.

Medschoolready.com calculates their post-interview acceptance rates based on the number of matriculants and not the number accepted.

The Harvard numbers are incorrect according to MSAR...according to the 07-08 version

Applied: 5741
Interviewed: 711
Acccepted: ?
Matriculated: 165

Maybe the other numbers include MD/PhD and HST

On average it's about a 50% rate of offer of acceptance post-interview. This is stretched out across the whole time, so that acceptances off waitlists are incorporated in that figure. As you might imagine, getting to the interview stage is really the biggest hurdle.

yea and i think its somewhere between 25-35% straight up acceptance post interview..

My bad man! I forgot to check back. Anyway, good thing other SDNers stepped up.
