Hey guys I had an interview a few days ago and I am a competitive applicant for DO schools. However when I had my interview and was asked why DO my mind froze. I know WHY i want to be one but I couldn't get my thoughts across. I ended up saying I want to be a doctor and found OMM really interesting. Throughout my interview i did stress working in primary care so there's that. Not the most ideal answer to an important question and I was wondering how much this would affect me? Kinda freaking out 🙁

Also is it just me or do other people go over your interview questions and kick yourself in the butt for how you could have answered it better? haha this cycle is getting to me

It's a normal feeling and a lot of people go through it.

For the "why DO?" question, you want to articulate your answer and deliver it properly. The interviewers can't read your mind and the only way to let them know is proper communication. I would do some introspection and practice the answer a bit.

You'll be fine. Your perception of what you said and what the interviewer heard are likely two different things.
