Hello!

I recently interviewed at my top choice medical school, and sent a post-interview thank you. I won't hear back about a decision until October.

I was wondering if it is better to send another email before then, with some updates (a few new grades, etc.) or wait until I hear my decision in October, incase I am put on hold (so I will have more to report in that case)?

I'd like to follow up my wise colleague's words with the mention that most LOI are viewed by Admissions Deans as outright lies. How else would you interpret a non-binding contract from a desperate candidate?

They only time they have any weight is if you're accepted to a better school and you're angling to go to a lesser one.
