Hello everyone! I interviewed last week at a MD school in my home state and I think the interview went very well. My MCAT is well below the school's average by 8 points; however, my GPA is a little above the average. I am currently taking a gap year serving with Americorps. Also, the school is utilizing the SJT, where I score in the 92nd percentile. I thought that they might see something in me since I was given an interview in the first place. Being realistic, I feel like I don't have a chance because of my MCAT score. At this point, should I assume that I will be rejected? Thanks for the help!

I know that this will trigger some delicate snowflakes, but you are rejected until you get the accept email in your Inbox.

As such, you should be working on your Plan B.

If your MCAT is 8 points below their average, you have to really knock it out of the park during the interview. If you are just average on your interview and do not have any sort of a hook, I think the odds may be against you. The stair case scenario applies here.
