Guys, is this a legit diagnosis?

Really, I cannot focus right now. Not one day since rotations. I open a book and my mind says no. Denied. Cannot to do.

I was supposed to wake up this morning early and study until the festivities began. A couple weeks ago (during step 1 studying), this would've worked magnificently. Right now? I woke up like at 11, and somehow it's later now and it never happened. Not even for a second.

Now I'm going to go join the party without a word being read. What's wrong with me? How do I beat step 1 brain fog?

You take some time off, and de-compress. If your first rotation is a long one (8/12 weeker) then you take at least 2-3 weeks off before you crack the books again for the shelf. Read up on your patients so you don't look like a clown on rotations, but don't start shelf studying until you've had sometime away from reading books all day.

Take a break man, you will get back into it. No worries.

i thought i was the only one...i've been pretty spacey for the past couple weeks. hopefully it'll wear off soon.

Thanks guys. Maybe I'll read up as said until I get my step 1 score back in a week. Maybe I'll be able to get back into a sort of groove once that starts.

same here. Ive barely got back in it, but Ive also seriously forgot a lot of things that I know well, and Im not talking about those nit-picky details. Glad its not just me
