I'm starting out with a 24
Verbal 10
Biological 8
Physical 6

Here's to studying every day until April!

Verbal-9
Bio-8
Physical-7
Total 24

Went into the diagnostic without even being aware that there was a diagnostic. Some of the physics stuff I learned in high school I haven't touched upon for at least 5 years. So my "real" diagnostic score should be a bit higher I guess, since I probably lost a few points just not being able to remember stuff that I knew.

Physical Sciences: 7
Verbal Reasoning: 7
Biological Sciences: 6
Total Score: 20

I guess I got my work cut out for me! Is it true that they make this test very diffucult to make a score increase very likely. I dunno, I just know that my score was a true wake up call to get my butt in these books. Are you guys using the EK books also?

Wow I got a 24 too... 10v 8p 6b
way too many 24s from the look of it
and i thought they were being nice on the diag... passages were pretty straight forward...oh well guess we got our work cut out for us.
keep posting your scores on practice tests so we can see if the increases are the same for everyone.

PS- 6
BS- 9
VR- 8
23

I dont like the kaplan books at all, I am gonna remain using Examcrackers and use Kaplan course for review from lecture and practice library.

Not bad... In my opinion, the physical score is the easiest to bring up, followed by Bio, followed by Verbal. I'll bet you do very well on this test 👍

Well, here's to hoping that physical science can be brought up, because I'm starting with a 6 on diagnostic... I couldn't believe how much I sucked at physics-- I really didn't have any idea. So today is all about some physics. We can do this. We are so going to kick this test's as*. :meanie:

I got a 23 in January of 2004. Back then, I didn't know Bio II, Orgo II, Biochem, Genetics, Microbio. So I guess my score wasn't that bad considering that I didn't know a lot of stuff.

Anway, I am taking the diagnostic again on Jan 22 of this year.

Is it true that the Kaplan grades its diagnostic harsher than the actual MCAT (maybe b/c they have the money back guarantee for a lower score?).

REally Sucky. Should not have done it at 10pm after a full day's work and dealing with a toddler and an infant but here goes:

VR: 5
PS: 6
BS: 7

After yesterday's practice MCAT on the VR section only I brought that up to an 8.

So as of today

VR: 8
PS: 6
BS: 7

Boy I want to squeeze my head like a pimple

I think it's great that you brought your verbal up that fast. Goes to show that being rested really does make a difference come test time.

In my defense, I took the diagnostic last January before Organic 2 and Physics 2. It's still painful!

VR-9
BS-6
PS-6
Total 21

OUCH! 😱

My Diagnostic score from October 2003 was as follows
VR -9
PS -7
BS -5
Total -21

and my April 2004 actual MCAT score was
VR -10
PS -9
BS -9
Total -28

So, there is hope of improvement if you work hard. I hated the Kaplan courses but the books and on-line materials helped tons.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am using Examkrackers and am pleased so far. The next 12 weeks will be focused study. I have no where to go but up! 😀

p-7; and Im in the midst of physics 2.. Though i must add i did better on the physics2 portion than the physics 1 stuff i took last semester.

My Kaplan diagnostic was a 27 and I got a 42 on the real thing. There's DEFINITELY room for HUGE improvement from the diagnostic. You'll be fine. :luck:

Hey, I took the diagnostic exam this past weekend on Saturday, and I was trying to look on the kaplan website to see how well I did. Do they post these scores online? I saw my percentage scores of the science diagnostic, but not the actual MCAT diagnostic scores.

Do I gotta wait until Tuesday? :scared:

Thanks.

Nevermind. Found it.

Didn't realize I sucked so bad on the verbal. Here's hoping for some improvement in that area!
