On a more serious note, you can teach English for an ESL company just about anywhere in the world. It's much easier to break your contract than if you are with a governmental agency. It's not health related, but I'm not convinced that it needs to be. You can't really do much because you are not a healthcare provider and whatever medical experiences you do get are not representative of US healthcare anyway. Otherwise, I think it's great to travel!
If you just want to travel, India is dirt cheap, you could live there for less than $500 a month. Remember, it's not Europe so you don't need a lot of money besides for airfare to travel Asia.
