Where is the best place to post a job for optometrists who are just out of school or about to graduate? One of my colleagues at the hospital asked me and I said I would look into it for them.

The most direct way is to contact a school in the area and ask the student services rep or alumni relations office to post it on their job board or, if they don't have one, to email the outgoing 4th years and recently graduated classes. Most programs will do that in some way or other. Local optometric societies are also a good place to get in contact with new grads.
