It typically takes 6 weeks for AACOMAS to verify apps and alot of ours got verified in less than a week. If the schools weren't expecting the 1st batch of apps until mid july then June 14th would've been pretty early. At this point the school admins are still busy tying up loose ends for the class of 2016 before they can start looking at us, class of 2017 (I hope!). This is my 2nd application cycle so I went through this waiting game last year too. I just hope that those of us who did get our apps submitted early won't get skipped over...the early bird really does get the worm in this rat race!

Like neuroLax I think this is pretty accurate...so, Ill also add: Word

In my opinion this is very unprofessional. Not the delay itself -- accidents/unexpected events happen all the time -- but the lack of an official communication/update, especially considering how we dished over a considerable amount of money for these applications.

I called them and they answered on the second ring. I don't think they'd send out a mass email since the vast majority of peeps aren't affected by this. I feel your pain though...waiting sucks

When I first submitted mine I had it sent back to fix something and got to see my calculated GPA so that ruined all the fun hahaha but I loved the grade replacement.

Yes, no specifics...the guys said that's all he was told. Just some 'delays'...it seems logical to think that the schools just aren't ready yet...
 
Thanks to everyone who posted about this, I was a bit confused myself as to what was going on. Here's to hoping our apps get released next week so we can start on secondaries and get this cycle started.
 
I can't imagine that it's an issue with schools being ready or not? On AACOMAS it says that they release them to the schools and then the schools are free to upload them when the please. Considering that some schools will do secondaries as early as the end of June, while others don't send any out until closer to the end of July, they probably just release the apps as they come in and the schools upload them from a server whenever they're ready for them, why else would some schools react so quickly while others sometimes wait a while.

Also, last year, there were a bunch of people who had their apps released on the 8th of June, and they started receiving secondaries as early as the 23rd. I doubt there are any more now that submit in the first couple days than there were last year.

My guess, they had some sort of tech issue in releasing them and are probably working to resolve it. I, like everyone else, am definitely hoping they get them out ASAP so I can start knocking out secondaries.
 
my release dates next to all the schools has been changed from 6/14 to 6/24...so maybe this is the real deal!! even though it is a sunday...? whatevs

Same, but mine still says Sorry could not find file at this time.

Just checked mine again; went from 6/14 to today, 6/24... but still says "sorry, cannot find file..."
 
Mine did the same thing! 6/14 to 6/24 but there is nothing to view.
 
Normally apps are released tues and available to view Thurs or fri. So maybe since they were released Sunday, they'll be available on tues or Wednesday?

The earlier the better!
 
Im just hoping the people that applied on day one do not get screwed and knocked back on the list. I have not heard of any problems from people with later release dates. I understand that if we get released in June we are still considered early but it would still irritate me.
 
Released 06/24. On a Sunday... how strange.
 
Are a lot of you checking on it everyday? Today is the first time I've looked at it since the 14th. I don't really care when they get sent out. I'm working on secondaries now either way.

I'd rather work on secondaries once/if I get the invite.
 
Im checking mine on a regular basis. Last year they had a lot of problems with apps and I want to be on top of it just in case problems like this one occur.

Ive been done with secondary pre writes for quite a while now...its been almost a month since Ive submitted...

are you still working on them??

I check to make sure everything is running smoothly. I am pre-writing secondaries to my top choices.

Well when I say I'm working on them, I mean I'm looking at them and thinking "I should really start writing these" 😀

I made a list of my top choices and I am researching them/writing blurbs about how awesome I am. That's good, right?

Yeah, that's a great way to do it...it's nice to have a ton of ready made paragraphs that could fit into different essays

It's true...this is where schools make some serious money too! Haha...some schools are worse than others but I think a lot of schools try to send a secondary to as many peeps as possible

FYI the secondary for RVU has a lot of basic questions which could be good to pre-write and use for many other secondaries. I think there's another school with quite a few questions but my memory is failing me as to which one.

Anybody have a list of schools that do pre-screen? I know WVSOM does and I really want to go there!

It's in the CIB 2013 if you haven't downloaded that yet...it's free as has info for each school.

I'm on my phone or else I'd be more willing to type it all out

It's personal preference. The only benefit of pre-writing is being able to submit the secondary hours after receiving it.

Depending on how many schools you're applying to, they can start piling up quickly.
 
Seem like with our luck right now we will get an email tomorrow stating that there was some computer error and our primaries were wiped out requiring us to resubmit everything .....

how do you know if the app is verified or not, i submitted the app like 5 days ago, and can still make changes on the app. is this normal?

I understand. Yet for me it has a lot more to do with motivation. If I prewrote them theres no way I'd have as good focus. But to each his own. Exciting times.

Yeah you can still edit it, because technically you could make changes and then submit a second batch.

To view the status, go to the main menu and see what it says next to the schools. Also check the box on the far right with the application progress.
 
mine says submitted to aacomas, and under payment says receipt.
should this change soon? and if i make some changes to my personal statements, would this reflect on the forwarded application to schools if they haven't been sent?
