The only negatives I've really found about going into military medicine (from a woman's perspective) is the marital/ family issues. Assuming I don't have the desire or intention of marrying and popping out kids, what are the potential negatives of doing FAP or HPSP?

You've got to be kidding - or a troll. Read this forum in detail - especially the stickies.

Skim through the threads on the first two or three pages. If you still don't know of any negatives besides the family/marital aspect, come back and we'll outline a few for you.

You obviously haven't been reading this forum that closely if you think the only potential downside could be "marital/family issues".

But, if this is your only "potential downside", then the military is perfect for you.

👍

or maybe check out the very top of the page that says "Military Medicine: Pros, CONS, and Opinions"

None I can think of. Do it. Write back.
