I have met many, many, many premeds and med students. Yet I have not met one person score above 29 who was classified as having grown up with economic means under the poverty level or had no social capital. However, all my upper middle class colleagues mostly have 32+ on mcat.

The leisure of uninterupted study is a got dam luxury. Wow! This is all starting to reveal itself. Wow. Most poor students I know only have the capacity to apply to like 10 schools before their family experience financial chaos..

I guess it's kind of like the SATs, huh?

Hiya....nice to meet you....don't got a 32+ but close enough 😉 .

I paid for my secondaries by selling off my comics on ebay and I work at my dad's place so that he can save money.

I grew up hella poor, poor enough to qualify for FAP, I'm still poor and work in a badly paying Community Service job, but I scored a 36 on the MCAT. That was with bombing the BS. I had been scoring 13s and 14s on the bio on all my practice tests, got an 11 on the real deal.
