Does anyone know if the PPS interviews for fellowships and PGY1s are just basic information session and not "real" interviews (just putting your name out there but "doesnt matter") or if they are actual preliminary interviews?

I know the interviews for jobs will probably be actual interviews... anyone have experience with medical writting? I got a msg for a medical writer position, but I'm not too familiar with it, how much do they make and what are the advantages?

Thanks yall!

If you're interested in pursuing a fellowship, the interviews at PPS are legitimate interviews that will determine whether or not you'll get the position.
For residencies, midyear is mostly for exploring different available programs. You can however choose to schedule interviews for the residencies if you are dead set on any. Just be sure you're prepared for the interview because a bad interview will most likely hurt your chances.
