You're talking about the two Midwesterns. Their whole admission policy really sours on me. Instead of staying true to their root and looking at an applicant on a holistic level, they pretend to be a MD. Whatever. They can keep their ridiculously high tuition to themselves. You can't measure the drive in an applicant by two numbers.
Every applicant has drive. What med schools want are people who can make it through their curriculum.
I apologize. The word "drive" isn't appropriate in that context. Perhaps the term "intangibles" is more suitable. Nevertheless, you can't capture the full picture of an applicant by putting a 29 MCAT cutoff on applicants. That's a lazy way of screening applicants.
I thought letters of interest were basically letters where you said, "If you let me in, I'll go here 100%." How can you send out multiple? I heard you have to go somewhere if you get in post LOI. So how do you send out multiple?
