I took pre-calc the fall semester of my freshmen year, and i got a D. However, i turned around and got an A in Calculus. I'm only a sophomore right now, and my BCPM is sitting at a 3.4 and i expect it to keep going up. Do med schools consider pre-calc in the BCPM? If so, mine will all the way down to like 2.5. Will they calculate my BCPM without the D if they see that the rest of my science classes are all A's & B's ?

I'm gonna guess they will still include it, based on this page. It lists "Mathematics" under your BCPM, so I imagine pre-calculus is included.

If you keep your GPA up from here on out, they may excuse it as freshman mistake and see it as an upward trend (maybe?), but they won't just ignore it. Looking at GPAs would be kind of pointless if schools omitted your bad grades.

Yes, it's included in your science GPA. Do well from here onwards and you should be fine! Keep it up!

Everything that is biology, chemistry, physics, and math will be included in BCPM. Even remedial math courses count toward BCPM.

Pre-Calc would be included in your BCPM GPA since it's a Math course. Med schools look at your year-by-year GPA trend so do your best to finish strong with an upward trend here on out.

Another concern would be if Pre-Calc is considered a pre-req for your major and you have to get a passing grade in certain pre-req classes to be able to declare a certain major or to graduate. Check to see what your college specific and major specific requirements are. If that's the case, you may have to re-take Pre-Calc for that purpose.

It will be included because pre-calculus is a mathematics course.
