Pre-Dental programs: Are they helpful?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It's useful in a certain aspect, getting to know the school and some of the instructors, improving DAT...The way I see it, a chance for you to brown nose the VIPs!
Yes, it is helpful, imo.

I took the UCLA denture course and now a first year at ucla. The thing is I havent even done a denture yet if i didnt take that class. since everybody seems to have x hrs of shadowing, what makes your experience different? besides all the dental science u will learn, you also getta meet many future dentists. i met a classmate and a really great friend there.

in addition to meeting a faculty member, you will meet lots of dental students. and then they will answer ur questions regarding the sch, application, etc.

just to show how important predents are, you will practicing at the CE(continue education) lab. current dentists(not dental students) are using that lab!
