Are there any summer pre-dental programs at any school where you don't have to be an underrepresented minority or come from an unprivileged backround? I'm having some trouble finding a program like this.

Gateway to dentistry (UMDNJ), I think upenn has a similar program. Google it to get more information about this internship. I thought it was awesome

I went to UNLV's Summer Program last year. Their fee too attend was fairly cheap for what you get out of it (not including air fair and hotel). The first day is mostly lecture based; they tell you about the school, the application process, dental school in general, also if you are applying this year you will get to meet with someone on the Board of Admissions. The second day was all hands on and you get to actually use hand pieces to drill and fill plastic teeth with both amalgam and composite. The experience is great for people that do not have a lot of job shadowing hours and/or have recently thought about attending dental school. It is a great thing to not only talk about in your personal statement, but also to talk about in interviews.

I have never been to Midwestern's Summer Program (AZ), but I did interview there this year. I would highly suggest attending that program too. Their facilities are top notch, all the students are friendly, and everything about that place was great. If I had to suggest one summer program or another I would say Midwestern (AZ) > UNLV.

Agree with MWU over UNLV. But one of the MWU weekends is already over. The next one might be this weekend or next.

I'm already taking summer classes/shadowing/volunteering this summer. This would be for next year.
