What are the differences in classes a pre dental student would take and a pre med student would take or are they the same??? Also can one follow the pre med curriculum or pre dental and apply to both dental and medical schools??? What are the pros and cons of being a Doctor vs Pros and cons of being a Dentist???

The courses a predent and a premed student will take are generally the same.

Also don't apply to both dental and medical schools, choose one which you prefer and stick with it.

Classes are exactly the same for pre-reqs. Some schools who have medical and dental schools have both students in many of the same classes their first two years of medical or dental school....

Dentists have to like teeth... a lot...

I can only give you pros and cons of medicine, I don't know that much about dentistry other than that you likely will be able to keep bankers hours, make decent money (but less earning potential than physicians), and still have decent job security/placement

as for going into medicine, pros: more specialties, higher earning potential, more schools, cons: higher risk (malpractice), longer training, more BS with insurance/et al...

these aren't inclusive lists, and you should shadow both people in order to get a feel for both. That way you will have more information to make the best decision for you.

They are the same.

I was debating between medicine and dentistry and then I shadowed both professions. As SBB2016 stated, you certainly have to like teeth to go into dentistry. Thankfully, I enjoy the work of a dentist. That won't always be true for some people.

Shadow both professions. You'll receive a greater understanding of both fields and you might even secure a letter of recommendation early as well.
