Ok, so my pre health committee wants all applications in by march 14, so they can write the letter in april. Problems is that I just started working part time in a community health clinic - this is the bulk of my clinical experience. I really enjoy it, and am confident that they will write me a nice LOR.

My question is, should I ask them for a LOR in february, after only 3 months of working there, just in time for the pre health interview? OR should I wait until the end of May (when I end my term at the clinic), and just submit the letter to med schools?

It seems more appropriate to wait until May, so my director will get to know me better, and doesn't think that i'm using them for a rec. However, is it worth the risk of going into the pre health committee with only three academic letters, and NO letter from your clinical experiences?

Thanks,

Lubdubb

Decide in February. You don't have to decide now, so don't worry about it.
