Hey guys i'm new on here, I'm currently a freshman in college, a neuroscience major, and planning to go onto medical school after I graduate. I'm pretty ambitious and am aiming to get into a school like Harvard, Yale, Stanford, etc. And I just wanted to know if anyone had any advice for me in regards to what I can do to really stand out and be a strong applicant for a prestigious school such as the ones I have listed. I know the basic they look at, (GPA, MCAT, Clinical experience, volunteer work, research) but I want to know what else would make me look great. I would greatly appreciate any opinions/advice or what you put on your own resume that got you accepted into med school. thanks

Look at the what are my chances forum and find some of the "41 MCAT 3.99 cGPA 4.00 sGPA" posts. They will give you an accurate account of what the top 1% are getting in terms of publishing/research/outstanding EC's. Especially with all of the new activity from those who just took the January MCAT. Good luck man! I believe you can reach those schools!

If that's your name I'd recommend something that would protect your anonymity.
