Hey SDN community,

I have been extremely bored over this winter break. Yesterday I started my own pre-med blog after being inspired, for my own purpose for memories and just to share my journey with younger people. I'm no expert in anything, just a student seeking knowledge. I really don't have much yet because i'm still learning as i go along.

my website is:

http://www.mdroadmap.com/

I just want the SDN communities feedback, on what they would like to see and hear throughout my journey. I would really appreciate it. (i'm really fond of this icon).

Honestly, I tried to give you feedback regarding your choice of major.....so I dont really appreciate you calling my advice ambiguous. Also, I'd like to point out that I offered you more advice if you wanted, via PM, and you did not take advantage of that.

SDN is the last place I would be asking for advice on a specific major. What you major in is your business, and med schools will absolutely not care as long as you did well. seriously. quit looking for other answers when there are none.

Lastly, I'm not really sure where you heard this 3-5 years of experience when you major in something like nursing or resp care. I have never heard that, ever. If it was your premed adviser, don't believe it. If it was SDN, don't believe. Its. not. true. period.

To Hoody:

I really did appreciate your feedback, i really did. And I do apologize if you think i specifically called your feedback vague, i didn't. I meant as a whole, that people were 50/50 about it. Please don't take it the wrong way. You did, and i was going to PM but i didn't know what say or bother you.

I needed something to write about and that was one of my experience. If you got offend, it wasn't meant toward you or anyone.

And i did hear it couple of time, from the chairperson and couple of other people in SDN. They are just saying what they heard, don't be so hostile about them just trying to help. And if it's not true, i'll know when i get there, you know what i mean?

And i apologize again if you think i didn't appreciate your advice, i did.

you guys serious? do you guys want to hug now? :meanie: lol jk i kid i kid lol I'll check out your blog for you

You have a grammatical or spelling error in each of the first four sentences that I read. Sorry, but I can go no further.

lol Thanks FloridaMedicine! I'm a serious dude, just a friendly guy. And WellWornLad, I understand I'm not the greatest writer. But thanks for reading couple of sentences. 👍

The feedback I got was mostly vague.

After Hoody's post:

The feedback I got was mostly positive. I thank those members for taking their time writing their feedback. Perhaps you would care to see it for yourself:

OK, I don't mean any offense. Just thought it was funny how you edited your blog entry right after that... Good luck with writing your blog and choosing a major!

SU1989:

I didn't want to offend anyone because that wasn't my intention. I'm just learning from everyone. Thanks for checking it out.

You have a nice clean layout. Congratulations on figuring out wordpress. 🙂

Be careful with grammar and spelling since people will not take your arguments seriously if you do not construct your thoughts intelligently.

I'll add you to my blogroll. Keep us all posted on your journey! 🙂

Thank you Studyshy! It took a lot of clicking around to just figuring simple things out. And the theme took forever to find. Thanks a billion for saying something nice about the layout! 😎

It was my mistake since i didn't re-read what i wrote, that's a habit i have.

I'll start writing more once the semester starts and i have more to talk about. 👍

It took me a week to get a good handle on wordpress and to manipulate the CSS to my liking. This is despite having been trained in C++ as a teenager.

There will be tons of things to talk about once school goes into full swing. When do classes begin again for you?

I love hearing about other people's stories. Everyone goes through challenging things, and it's amazing to see people overcome obstacles.

Nice blog, man. Just don't p*ss off the nurses. 🙂

I agree that the spelling and grammar errors are painful to read, but it's a good start 🙂

Good luck with your blog.
One of the cool things about writing a blog (if you keep up with it) is that you'll be able to revisit those posts which relate to major events in your life. Also remember to keep things professional--believe it or not, adcoms google applicants.

Exactly, or keep it very anonymous. 🙂
