Hey guys I'm trying to get ahead of the pre-med pack so I wanted to start studying for Step I. Anyone suggest any resources? I hear first aid and anki are pretty good. I have a really open summer because I stopped volunteering after filling out my app.

inb4 gunners gonna gun

First Aid is for your sluggard classmates who wait until medical school to start studying. You can do so much better.

Guyton and Hall Physiology. Big Robbins. Clinically Oriented Anatomy.

Actually, scratch that last one. Get Grant's Dissector instead. If you really want to get ahead you'll start killing your classmates competition and dissecting them. Extra high yield.

Good luck OP

Apart from the obvious trolling, I don't see the harm in a little intellectual curiosity here and there. Sometimes (very infrequently), I'll look through random Step 1 sample questions on google, and even though I can't answer like 99% of them, it's still reassuring to see why I'm getting involved in this in the first place and what lies ahead for me. Sometimes I'll go through the questions on long car rides with my mom, who is a physician, just out of boredom or to kill the time. It's fun

how about you actually enjoy life.

I hear THC helps to dull pre-med neuroticism. Maybe give that a try?

Try going to the beach with your friends. The memories will help you get through the long step 1 study sessions in medical school and give you the energy you need to crush those other plebs in your class.
