Hi everyone. I am pre medical studentaand have about 30 credits. I am a transfer student and transferred 15 credits to University. My GPA is 2.67 for first semester in University. It is because of Calc 1 in which I got D. I am thinking of retaking it. I have only taken Gen Chem 1 till now in which I got C.I didn't have much time to study in my first semester because I was doing a job. Can I still catch up for medical school? I am new to this forum and don't know much about it.

Spend a little while looking through the forum. There's a lot of great advice that will answer most of your questions.

To answer your question: Yes, you can catch up. You've got boatloads of time.

Also, retaking calc 1 is mandatory. I don't know of any schools that will accept a D in a prereq.

Better start making some As soon.

30 credits at once? At my uni that would’ve been 10 standard length courses at once. Don’t take so many courses at once if you are having difficulty getting As.

30 credits is hard enough for anyone to handle. Say goodbye to having a life too if you're "brave" enough to take that heavy of a course load.

I doubt it was 30 at once. Most schools have a limit to how much you can sign up for (mine does 19 and can go up to 22 with dean's permission). They said they're transfers so pretty sure they meant they took 30 credits total.

where did he say about 30 credits at once?

I think OP means that at University his current GPA is 2.67 after 1 semester of courses at University so far.
