Hi there. I am a seventeen year old female student who is currently schooling in a Singapore junior college. I am going to be in junior college 2 next year. The system that Singapore uses differs from that of the US and the UK. Basically, I will be eligible to enter university after I take my A levels next year (assuming I pass...). I am curious as to know what exactly a pre-medical course is and what colleges offer these courses.
From the Internet searches I did, I found mainly American colleges but nothing on UK colleges. However, I did find some information from UK universities.
So, I have listed a few questions about pre-medical courses/programmes:
1. Are the courses/programmes available in any UK college?
2. What are the pre-requisites in getting into these colleges and the programmes/courses?
3. Where or who can I contact for more information on enrolling into these institutions?
4. What does a pre-medicine course/programme cover?
5. Is it a one year programme or is the period of study longer than that?
I would greatly appreciate any information on this issue. Thanks in advance and I would also like to wish everyone a Merry belated Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance. ^^
Yours,
Tammy Goh
