Had this question today on an NBME and couldn't find the answer, which adrenergic receptor is found on both the pre and post synaptic terminals????

Alpha 1/2
Beta 1/2/3

Seriously, if people are going to post NBME/UW questions, put it in the thread title so that those of us that have yet to take the exams do not see the questions.

Or following the line, I had this on my NBME today you could simply stop reading....

let me get this straight, you violated SDN's TOA & ignored the moderators RECENT request to NOT post NBME questions; instead of apologizing and moving on, you leave a smarta$$ comment about how i should have everted my eyes from the computer? so, are you ever wrong?

Sorry hadn't read the message regarding the NBME matter, just was in search of an explanation of which I was unable to find a suffice explantion.

alpha 2's are pre-synaptic. so the answer is a1/a2. They serve to down regulate secretion of norepi from the terminal.

Hey cranky-pants, take a few minutes, breath, go for a walk, do some yoga, find your inner happy place. The guy is asking a reasonable question, the answer is not revealed in his post, so you lose nothing by seeing the post. Geesh.
