Pre-Osteo Chat?!

There is an MCAT Chat on these boards. Why can't we start a Pre-Osteo or Pre-Med (general) chat?? Seems like it would be more gratifying than posting and waiting if you're just sitting around looking @ SDN...

That's just my opinion though... what does anyone else think?

If you only knew how sparsely the MCAT Chat is used (After the test and before score release), then you'd know why there isn't one. There is a general chat associated with the Lounge.

No one wants to talk about the f*ing MCAT. That's why it's not used.

Actually, that doesn't surprise me. Obviously interest will wane after the test and then gather momentum again as score release time approaches. But the admissions process doesn't center around 2 specific points in time, as it would if all applications had to be filed by one date and all admissions decisions were made on another. Unfortunately, for most of us, the admissions process drags out for a looonnng period of time. I suspect you would see a much higher usage pattern.

I would find that interesting, but I'd only be on in the evenings.

I'm all for both, but I was referring to the IRC-integrated chat that is present on the MCAT board...

I think we'd have a better experience with an AIM chat that is organized at a set time through a thread with just someone coordinating.
