I want to know my pre-pharm GPA is there a way that I can find out without applying yet, I'm applying next year, but I have to know where I stand or if it is necessary to take over a few of my classes.

This is something you are more than qualified to answer on your own.

Most schools have an online system that will do it for you. Sometimes it is difficult to gauge what people already know - if you are still struggling - post up and we can help...

One more thing - your current GPA is your pre-pharmacy GPA unless you are already attending pharmacy school.

It will also depend on which schools your applying too also. Some schools look at your cumulative GPA, pre-pharm GPA, science GPA and math GPA. Some schools only look at your pre-pharm GPA. Some schools replace repeated classes with the highest grade. You may want to check out each school your thinking about applying to for more information.

I assume you just want to know how to calculate gpa.

Credits (hours) x Grade Value (4.0 scale) = QP

Total QP / Total Credits = GPA

example

3 hrs x 4.0 (A) = 12 QP
12 / 3 = 4.0 gpa
