I'm from Canada and the schools up here for the most part calculate only your cumulative and pre-req GPA for admission purposes. Do US schools such as BU or USC take into account your pre-req GPA or do they just care about the science/cumulative GPA?

The US schools will look at your science (BCP) GPA and your overall GPA. They will look at all your courses including summer courses or classes that were taken outside of a 30 credit year. I know some Canadian schools will just look at your best two years (U of S) and others will drop your worst year (U of A) but in the US all classes are accounted for. What pt. of Canada you applying from?

Alberta, the U of A had a 3.87 overall average GPA for the 2008 class.. Hence my applications elsewhere.
