Well I'm only applying to one pharmacy school for fall 07 because I'll only be able to complete thier specific pre-reqs by the end of the spring semester

Someone told me that I can I should apply to more schools because I could still finish thier pre-reqs by fal 07 with the summer classes or by taking them after I get accepted at the school

So when I hear about people applying to 10 different pharmacy schools is it because they have pre-reqs completed for 10 different schools

Is that accurate that I should still apply to schools although would not be able to complete pre-reqs by the end of spring but would be able to to with summer classes for certain schools?

Although PreReqs tend to differ from school to school - most schools require the same main prereqs. This includes the 4 chems, 4 bios, 2 phy, and 1 calc. Having these 11 classes complete will allow you to apply to just about any pharmacy school. There are other classes mixed in there - like economics and microbiology - but they are classes that can be picked up in one semester. As most students apply 3 semesters out from matriculation - this is not a problem. For more info - read the pre pharm FAQ sticked at the top of the threads list...

My particular situation is that I am a sophmore and will only be done Temple's specific requirments by the end of the spring semester would I be able to apply to another pharmacy schools and have a decent chance of acceptance with reasonable stats?
and can I apply to other pharmacy schools and take summer classes to fullfil those prerequisites depending on acceptance ?

Unfortunately, I think you are in a situation where it will depend from school to school. One of the schools I applied to just required that all pre-reqs be finished by the end of summer (i.e. prior to pharmacy school start in mid-August). Another required that all science pre-reqs be done by the end of spring semester, but you could still take non-science prereqs (speech, econ, etc.) in summer. There are other schools that require everything be done by end of spring. So, I would say you need to contact each individual school you are interested in and see what their policy is. Generally, if you feel like you are ready to go and you don't need the extra year to improve your work experience/prereqs/etc., then I would say go for 2007. It's just going to get more and more competitive to get in (at least for the forseeable future).
