Does anyone know of any pharmacy schools that only look at the pre-requisite GPA that are mainly private, but can be public?

I know Pacific University in Oregon (private) is more interested in your last 45-60 hours than the whole GPA, along with your prereq courses. Schools make you take certain classes before you can apply so it would be assumed they considered these courses important and would look at your grades in these courses more strongly than other courses. But your overall GPA is always the first GPA they will see. Last 45-60 hours are important as well as prereq GPA along with overall. But I don't think you will find any school that doesn't consider your overall GPA. Many schools have GPA minimums such as 2.5, 2.7 or 3.0 for example and if the overall GPA does not meet that minimum they do not even look at the application.

Best bet is to go to the FAQ section and look through the private schools website and see what their requirements are and "what they look for". Also your local state school/s are also good choice.

UGA is public, but i know they only look at your pre-req GPA when determing who to give an interview

Does anyone know of any schools that are really forgiving of low cumulative gpas if the last 45-60 hours is much higher? my cumulative is 3.05 and my last 45-60 is ~3.6..

I'm applying to Pacific U, but my science gpa is 2.7 (the exact min to apply). What's my chances??

The key with a lower GPA is get your application in the very first day or two they accept applications. Pacific is rolling admission so you have the best shot by being in that first interview group in October. Get that Pacific Application done now if you can. They put a lot of weight on things outside of your GPA, kill the interview, be ready to prove to them you want to be a pharmacist and know about the profession. 2.7 is low but if you get in that first interview group you will be competing against less people. I really can't stress it enough that you should have your application in right away, within the first week they start accepting them!

when is the earliest we can apply to pacific university?

I am always happy to answer whatever questions I can or give an opinion but doing a little research on your own is a very important thing to learn how to do. The answer to this question took about a minute to find after accessing Pacific's site. I understand it is always nice to get reassurance about dates and facts though.
-Google is great resource
-The search function on this website would lead you to Pacific U's thread from last year which would answer tons of questions as well as give you names of current students to instant message for advice
-School websites are always great to explore, some are poorly setup so you have to dig for little bit.

Well the application packet is ready now to fill out, so you can start doing all that now and getting all your LORs together, write your essays and get your transcripts in order.

The online application is available August 1st so if you have everything prepared, then right when it is available you can fill it all out, copy and paste your essays, pay the application fee and submit it within those first few days of August. Then send your transcripts and LORs in as well.
Earliest you can submit would be August 1st.
Good luck, 4 weeks away!
I highly recommend using the search function and finding the Pacific thread from last years' applicants. There is a wealth of info and advice to help you get ahead of the game.

I applied to Pacific last year at the very last minute, I interviewed in the second to last group and did not end up getting accepted, I feel that if I interviewed earlier I may have had a better chance seeing that my GPA was average and my Pharmacy experience was only a little above average.
Use these 4 weeks wisely and good luck!
