How do people pre-write secondaries? Don't schools come out with new secondaries every year?

There is a school specific thread for each school where people (used to at least) post the secondary apps.

It seems often they don't change or not much.

They still want the same info, ya know? You're not going to re-invent the wheel on "tell me about yourself."

Prospective doctor is a great site that actually lists all the prompts by school by year. Browse that. You'll find a lot of core questions that don't change from year to year and some that do. Pre-write the ones that don't change.

I agree with aldol, prospective doctor is great. Google "medical school secondary essays" and their list should be the page that pops up first. The vast majority of secondaries don't change year to year, so prewrite all of them, and worst case scenario one of your secondaries changes and you have to rewrite it, but most if not all of them won't change

do it. it can be so overwhelming to complete the secondaries from dozens of schools when they all have 5+ questions. That and you want to submit them as soon as possible so the more you have prewritten (at least drafts) the better.

if you go to each schools thread on the the school specific forum on here, they also have the secondary questions. most schools don't seem to change their secondaries much from year to year, but you could look a the thread for the last 2 or 3 years to check that the prompts have been the same each year
