Preceptor and...

We have teacher/student, mentor/mentee, master/apprentice, knight/squire, etc. There has to be some kind of cool word to go along with "preceptor" other than reusing "student." Any takers?😕

That's at least an interesting name. I mean, preceptor is a cool title, seems like there should be a decent name for the counterpart. Hell, I'd even take underling, neophyte, or page.

my experience has definitely been as a "side-kick". But it's different depending on your situation.

I agree. It's "Preceptor" vs. "Intern." Or, if intern is too short for you, then you could always say "student intern" or "pharmacist intern."

That's pretty much it. You can always bastardize the language and try to make up a new term like "preceptee" (which sounds just as bad as mentee), or you could just buddy up with the preceptor and use military ranks. I like to call them Captain.
