Hi guys and gals,

I have a question about the pre-reqs we have to take to apply to dental school. I am a California resident and currently attend one of the UC schools. I want to attend one of the UC schools, i.e. UCLA, but on their pre-req, they require a year of lab for each of the core science courses. Since we are on the quarter system, does that mean we have to take a lab for all three quarters for each core science class? If we do, then I have a problem because my school only offers one lab for each class and it lasts only one quarter. I have already contacted my counselor and will meet soon to discuss this, but while I wait, I was wondering if anyone else has been in this situation or know what to do. Thanks for any help,

UCLA is strict about having the required one year of lab for each of the sciences. I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. You have quarter long classes, and the labs are quarter long? What is the problem exactly? Take three quarters of lab for bio, chem, ochem, and physics.

Sorry for being confusing, but the problem is that for each science series they only offer one lab that lasts for only one quarter. So I can't do a lab for one year. Maybe I'm looking at the classes wrong. I'll check again, but thanks for the reply.
