I've read that you can delete your facebook and then start it up again... and all your information, pictures, etc. are there. If that's true, just delete some of the information you wouldn't want public.

I'm actually curious to see how this will turn out. I'll most likely not delete my account at any point, so I wonder if schools will even take that extra time to look at it 😛.
At least I don't think it will hurt me unless they don't like the bands/concerts I attend lol.

So even if you set everything to "friends only", people can still see all your info??

It still appears that you can keep things private, its just going to be a hassle everytime.

wow..that's crazy😀

and why exactly is facebook doing this? What would this accomplish...

Yeah it sounds to me like we are just going to need to change our privacy settings when this new policy goes into effect...it seems like it is just saying that status updates, pics, and vids will be public by default, meaning we just need to actually go in and change the setting so that they aren't automatically public.

has this happened yet? do they mean personal messages ( as in your inbox and outbox) or just pics and such?

that's really stupid. they will lose a lot of customers. Esepcially those in the professional world or those attempting to take their first step into that world. No one will keep it if they fear something negative will come out of it (i.e. pictures from college of someone drinking, etc... ) although everyone knows it happens, employers seeing it is a much different story...

This means nothing. It takes less than a minute to change your privacy settings. It's hilarious people actually delete their facebooks for dental apps when it's so easy to set every single part of your profile to friends only. Oh the apprehensive predent...

The paranoid predent😀

i think most peopl ehave their info as private

i thougth this meant that it would all automatically become public

yeah i don't get why people delete their account. just make it private, weed out stuff u don't want them to see if they even have the time to look up people's individual facebook accounts, and don't post up really bad videos of yourself 😉
