I'm doing an advanced anesthesia program and have a prelim medicine year at a different program. They have an ITE in the fall of intern year, does this matter at all for my anesthesia residency/fellowship?

Doesn't matter at all. Focus on reading about your patients and if you happen to get some questions right, see it as a bonus.

No. Skip it. (I scheduled a call for that day, on purpose, to cover my butt. Nobody cared anyway.)

Agreed, useless test, and means nothing since you haven’t studied anesthesiooogy yet.

Just dale the test post call, you can get through the 200 questions in 2 hours easy.

OP is taking about an internal medicine ITE.

It will hurt your internal medicine fellowship chances if you don’t do well, otherwise no Anesthesia program or fellowship will care.
