Prelim/ transition year invites???

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Don't mean to sound like I am being curt, but have you tried checking the other resident forums on SDN? It is possible that others have mentioned getting invites already. Unfortunately, our PM&R forums don't get as much traffic as some of these other forums...

Same here.. congrats! Arrowhead isn't easy though... I've rotated there for core rotations and electives. County can be a killer, but you do get your hands dirty and stuff...

Just curious--but does anyone going into PM&R do a surg year instead of transitional or medicine year? Does it make a difference either way?

I have gotten invites from Maimonides in NYC and Greater Baltimore Medical center...i haven't checked other sites, but i was speaking to a chief from Georgetown yesterday, it doesn't sound like they've started sifted through the apps yet. I think this game has just begun!! 😉

transit/prelim invites usually go out first. they get rolling on those quickly
I believe you can do a prelim surg year first, but why? PM&R is predominantly medicine based.

so the first thing i have heard from any program i've applied to is a fatty rejection from UPitt & Oakwood trany years...oh well, atleast its not a pmr reject 😳

Invites:
Pitt transitional
Christiana prelim medicine (with an offer of hotel accomodations on them!)
Jeff prelim med

Hi everyone..

So I went on my first prelim interview at St. Agnes in Baltimore. The PD is fantastic and I liked the residents that I met. The PD pimped me a little during the interview...but it wasn't too bad. If anyone else is going there for an interview I'd be happy to give them a more detailed review.

Other invites include:
Georgetown
Maimo in NY
Greater Baltimore
Harbor Hospital
Union Memorial

I hope I hear from more programs once the dean's letter goes out.

Continued luck to everyone.

No TY interviews or denials yet.... waiting anxiously. How horrible would that be to get PGY2 and nothing for PGY1?
Several interviews for PGY2 are scheduled. I am doing them early as I don't want to give any perception of lack of interest or thing of this sort...
good luck to all....
