I'm hoping anyone that has experience with prematching can help me with this. As a DO, I know that I can accept a prematch if it is offered to me. Now lets say I interview early at my #1 choice and they offer me a prematch, and say I have x number of days to accept the contract or not. Obviously, I would accept it. But what about all the other upcoming interviews that are not within a reasonable time frame to cancel? Such as coming up in a week or 2. Do you call those programs and tell them that you accepted a prematch, so you won't be going? Or do you go to the interviews and just pull out after the interview? I would feel bad interviewing at a place if I knew I wasn't going there, but at the same time, everyone says to give the programs 3-4 weeks notice of cancellation. So my question is what if you don't have that much notice?

Under those circumstances, I'd say go ahead and cancel even if it is short notice. There is no point in wasting their time if it's literally impossible that you will be going there.
