I am a US medical student and have unfortunately failed Step 1 twice and am facing taking the exam again, my 3rd and final attempt. Can anyone who has been to one of the commercial prep courses recently share your experience (good or bad)? I'm trying to decide how to best spend the 8 weeks off my school is giving me. Thanks for any advice you could offer. Please feel free to post or PM.

Best of luck to all of you future test takers out there and congratulations to those of you who have made it through this exam!

Sorry to hear about your situation- mine is very similar. I took the falcon review and was very disappointed- I failed after the course. The only pro is that goljan himself teaches, 6 days out of the whole 7 weeks. Other instructors were not nearly as good. There is little time to do questions while you're there and no personalized diagnostic testing or one-on-one tutoring. It's also extremely expensive. I would not recommend it. PM me if you have other questions. falcon gets a 👎 from me. Anyone else have better experiences with other programs?

how about getting the kaplan lecture notes + the videos, that will take at least a month to go through but will give you a good foundation, then you can hit FA and rapid review with uworld, good luck
