So, i will be finishing 2nd year of class in may and will have roughly 7-8 weeks of dedicated study time, i've heard the two or three most important resources are uworld questions, first aid, and either goljan RR or i guess pathoma is a new favorite now... my question is for the people who have already taken step 1, if you did take a course did you find it helpful, and if you didn't did you feel you had enough of your own resources to prepare?

just not sure if 8 hrs a day of class is the best way to spend my dedicated time... i am one of those people who needs the *structure* of a scheduled class and all, but i've spoken to some friends who insist a class isn't necessary, and i know it's different for each person, i just wanted to get a few more people's input before i made a decision...

dont 'know if it matters but i will most likely be taking kaplan if i did choose to take one

I think the kaplan classes are wildly unnecessary and way too expensive. If you like some structure, DIT should do the trick while allowing you more time in your day to do your own studying.
