Hey guys fairly new here but already I have gained a wealth of information from reading various posts on dentistry. I'm accepted at the dental school which was my first choice and am planning on attending this fall. I really want to do specialize in oral surgery but I know that it is very competitive... What should I be expecting the next four years of my life to be in order for me to get into oral surgery? I am willing to study 7 days a week and have no social life and not date anyone for four years if that's what it takes but thinking about it now, the next four years looks really gloomy to me... By the way I am 19 years old. I am just trying to get a feel of how to mentally prepare myself for dental school. Thanks for the advice.
